Under soft lights and shared breaths, we host our Satsangs — from the Sanskrit word for “a sacred gathering” — vibrant sanctuaries for connection. Rooted in music, dance, and love, these evenings bring in artists from across the world, and here, their sounds collide and coalesce, birthing fusions that have never been heard before. Each note carries the weight of journeys untold, each melody whispers of lands unseen, introducing our listeners to echoes both ancient and unfamiliar. At TEL, where fabrics drape stories and garments echo voices, our Satsangs are invitations to pause, listen, and feel life’s harmony in music. Melodies rise and dissolve into conversations, laughter, and movement—echoing the pulse of a world where borders blur.

Revelry meets reflection at the Info Disco at TEL, a night of mirth and dance but illuminated by visuals that confront the realities of human overconsumption and Earth’s fragility. Through music and thought-provoking projections, we create a unique dance floor, a space for joy and urgent conversations about sustainability and our shared future.

BeDesi

Two Extra Lives is honoured to host a Rajasthani Folk Ensemble, carrying the power of their voice and the timeless spirit of the desert into our space.

From the Manganiyar and Langa communities, these musicians bring with them generations of tradition. Their voices hold stories of devotion, longing, celebration, and love - melodies that have echoed across the sands for centuries.

The stirring strains of the kamayacha and sindhi sarangi, the rhythmic pulse of the dholak, and the lively accents of the khartal and matka come together in one seamless flow - rising and falling like songs carried across the desert dunes, calling us to become one and surrender to pulsating claps and movement.

We are grateful to welcome the artists Dare Khan Manganiyar, Latif Khan, Eklash Khan Langa, Sawai Khan Manganiyar.

We hope you’ll join us for this warm and heartfelt evening as we bring the sounds of the desert to you — where the magic comes alive and moves through your breath and bones.

TRIPPY SAMA

After a deeply resonant experience at Two Extra Lives, we’re opening our space once again to welcome Trippy Sama for another immersive performance.
Trippy Sama is a world music collective that brings together musicians from around the globe, united by the intention of holding a sacred, inclusive space through sound - sound that moves through you.

Rooted in Indian classical traditions and shaped by sounds from different cultures, their music feels both grounding and expansive. The soft breath of the bansuri and the rhythmic alghoza echo tradition, while meditative percussion and layered textures create an immersive atmosphere. The sarod’s intricate melodies flow through the soundscape, anchored by soulful vocals and supported by soulful vocals and the steady pulse of the drums.

PINK MOSS

Pink Moss is an Alternative R&B, Funk, Neo-Soul, and Afro-Pop band based in Mumbai, India, recognized for their eclectic fusion of neo-soul, R&B, and Afro-pop paired with expressive bilingual lyrics. Their music blends groovy rhythms and honest storytelling into a distinctive contemporary sound. Following the release of their latest single “Find Me Again,” the band is currently working on multiple new projects slated for release this year.

Experience a live set with Sampriti (vocals), Souvik (bass), Subid (guitar), Sid (drums) at Two Extra Lives — an evening centered on original music, rhythm, and collective energy.


AKRAM ABDULFATTAH

Two Extra Lives invites Akram Abdulfattah, a Palestinian-American violinist, composer, and producer. Influenced by Arabic classical masters and shaped by collaborations with artists such as Simon Shaheen, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, and Bassam Saba, His music fuses Palestinian, Arab, and Indian traditions.

Akram views abstract music as means to communicate to the world a powerful message of peace, love, serenity, and harmony; invigorating imaginative state of mind among his listeners, elevating their senses to higher spirituality and connecting them with their most inner selves.

We look forward to hosting you for an immersive classical evening, embracing tranquility and stillness.


AXEL MOON

Two Extra Lives opens its space to Axel Moon — a Paris-based multi-instrumentalist, DJ, producer, and curator — for an experience that journeys across traditional music, psychedelic textures, and forward-leaning electronic sound.
Axel’s musical path moves fluidly through rock, traditional and folk forms, and club-oriented electronics. He is the founder of the psychedelic act Ko Shin Moon, with five albums and over 200 international performances.
As a DJ and live performer, Axel blends unusual sounds, traditional instruments, percussive electronics, ambient experimentation, and fierce bass energy — often weaving in his own edits and productions to create a one-of-a-kind sonic narrative.

This evening at Two Extra Lives is an intimate gathering of music, culture, and community. Join us in a shared curiosity for sound as ritual, movement, and collective experience.

MOTION / EMOTION

Two Extra Lives opens a portal into Motion/Emotion — an immersive live music experience where sound, movement, and emotion converge.

Project Damru leads this journey through cinematic and experimental soundscapes, blending Hindustani classical, indigenous and folk traditions with analogue textures, world rhythms, and deep electronic storytelling.
The universe expands with Hinoki, — her voice drawn from ancient Japanese dreamscapes;
Isheeta‘s singing carries the depth of Jazz, Hindustani Classical, Folk, and contemporary traditions; and
Axel, a Paris-based multi-instrumentalist and producer, weaving soulful narratives through Oud and Saz.

Motion/Emotion is a collective, collaborative performance — a space for co-creation and presence beyond the ordinary.

BOOMBAY DJEMBE FOLAS

Boombay Djembe Folas — a high-energy collective inspired by the rich traditions of West African music. Shaped by Anand Bhagat, the group blends tribal drums with beautiful melodies, creating a sound that’s earthy, vibrant, and impossible to stay still to. Their love for West African folk rhythms brought them together, and their spirit continues to grow through collaborations with dancers, electronic musicians, live artists, and more.

At Two Extra Lives, we’re building a space that feels welcoming and intimate — a place where you can leave thoughts at the door, feel your feet on the floor, and just flow. An evening to loosen, to move, and to embrace their rhythm that awakens the room.

Kaleidoscope

Keeping the heart of music alive through prolific composition, Kaleidoscope honours the 20th-century transformation of Hindustani classical music — through the exploration of ragas, experimenting with tala and contemporary themes. Embracing both heritage and change, it celebrates classical music as a living, evolving art form — timeless, yet always becoming.

The Unkle Whisky Collective

We're thrilled to welcome The Unkle Whisky Collective to Two Extra Lives, for an intimate evening of raw, moving country and blues.

A coalition of musicians who believe in music's magnanimity. Their utmost love for music arises through a potpourri of emotions and struggles in their individual lives, giving them a bittersweet essence and the ability to engulf the audience in this experience.

Up-cycling Workshop by Ruchi

Upcycling Workshop with Ruchi’s Atelier
Every garment deserves at least two extra lives. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how to mend, rework, and transform clothing using creativity and resourcefulness.

How to Prepare:
Step 1: Go on an Inspiration Hunt
Drop by the store, walk around, and notice the details that spark ideas - a patch, embroidery, a clever repair. Capture them in photos or memory; they’ll inspire your piece.

Step 2: Pick Your Base Piece
Bring one garment to transform. It could be:
• A loved piece that feels dated.
• A sentimental piece (borrowed, inherited, gifted).
• A piece you don’t care much about but want to experiment with.

Step 3: Gather Materials to Remix
Think beyond fabric - jewelry, buttons, brooches, scarves, chains, patches, or anything meaningful that can live on in a new form.

Step 4: Come As You Are
Arrive with a plan or none at all. We’ll provide sewing kits to get you started, and you’ll leave with new skills in patches, stenciling, embroidery, and creative repair - and a garment that’s uniquely yours.

WhatRemains - Photo Exhibit

We’re opening up our space to something that matters — our first photo exhibition, WhatRemains.

The show reflects on the world we inhabit today — the Anthropocene — an era shaped by human impact on the planet, in irreversible ways.

The photographs move through beauty and loss: from awe-inspiring landscapes to quiet, haunting traces of what’s being altered or erased.

We hope this exhibition offers a space for reflection, but also for collective evolution — a place to hold both grief and hope, in the same breath. To question what is, and to imagine what could be.

ALEC GOLDFARB

Hindustani Classical & Crossover Jazz

Alec Goldfarb is a Downbeat Magazine award-winning guitarist, composer, and Hindustani classical musician based in Brooklyn whose music is full of ingenious juxtapositions and twists.

An exponent of the Seniya-Maihar Gharana, Alec performs Hindustani classical music across the globe on the guitar using a novel adaptation of sitar technique, while drawing influences from his jazz and Western classical backgrounds.

He will be presenting a special performance at Two Extra Lives at Bandra, Mumbai on February 13th, where we explore the intricate beauty of raag and taal through his unique approach to the guitar.

ALLYELLOW MUSIC

International Afro-Latin Live Band

Date: 23rd January 2025

AllYellow: international Afro-Latin Live band whose musical geography spans from Mali through Cameroon to Peru.

Dancy rhythms mixed with psychedelic soundscapes accompanied with authentic african instruments such as Kora, N'goni, Djembe and calabash percussion.

The band was established in Moscow in 2018 and it brings together four Slavic nations: Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Poland. AllYellow has been performing on the biggest festivals from North to South Russia. AllYellow focuses on the quality of their music adding a pinch of magic thus creating an unforgettable experience.

SARAH CAVE

THE ALCHEMY OF MUSIC, MOVEMENT & CACAO

Korean-American violinist and music healer, Sarah MeeRan Cave, leads us on a unique evening journey into healing and renewal. She began with an invocation to Mama Cacao, which unfolded into a deep restorative sound bath on violin, viola, and voice. Last, we were joined by tabla and percussion maestro, Akshay Jadhav, who together with Sarah led us into an improvised concert- inviting you to move and groove or remain on the floor, letting the healing beats wash over and through you.

SATSANG 2.0 - TRIPPY SAMA

A World Music Collaboration

Trippy Sama is a world music project that brings together musicians from all parts of the world. Their music is performed with the intention of holding a sacred space for all, creating a transformative and soul-touching experience through the use of ethnic instruments.
Two Extra Lives proudly presented Trippy Sama, a melting pot of global sounds. This eclectic collective seamlessly blends Indian classical music with influences from across the globe, amplified by vibrant electronic elements. The soothing bansuri and rhythmic alghoza evoke tradition, while the handpan and didgeridoo cultivate a meditative space. Meanwhile, the sarod, guitar, and bass harmonize beautifully, anchored by the cajon's beats and soulful vocals. Their music is not just heard-it's felt deeply within the soul, resonating with each listener.

SATSANG 1 - RAIS KHAN

Satsang At Two Extra Lives

Ustad Rais Khan is renowned professional percussionist and folk musician based out of Rajasthan. Rais is one of the world’s foremost performers on the morchang, or the jaw harp, a folk instrument from Western India. Using his voice, breath, mouth, and the morchang, he creates unique rhythms, sounds, and sonic patterns. Besides morchang, Rais Khan also plays the khartaal (Rajasthani castanets), bhapang, and beatboxes. He has shared the stage and recorded with artists such as Barmer Boys, Mumford and Sons, Vieux Farka Toure, The Gypsy Allstars, Rupa and the April Fishes, and has been featured on MTV Coke Studios alongside artists such as A.R. Rahman, Clinton Cerejo and Amit Trivedi.To add to the celebratory spirit of the evening, we also hosted a traditional mehendi ceremony, served refreshing thandai, and had vibrant Rajasthani pagdis tied for guests — a warm gesture that brought everyone into the festive fold.
